The project

The United Steelworkers (USW) contacted me for support with their new website, seeking help with design, user experience, and overall structure to present their message clearly and professionally. Since the project had already been started, we chose to collaborate through a Design Day, focusing on creating a site that would be impactful, engaging, and easy to navigate.

To establish a strong visual identity, I developed a custom font pairing and color palette—unique to their site but visually aligned with the broader USW brand. We also streamlined their original three-page plan into a more efficient one-page format, guiding visitors smoothly through key content and calls to action.

Through thoughtful customizations and a user-first approach, the result is a modern, professional, and easy-to-maintain website that effectively meets USW’s communication needs and enhances their online presence.

Squarespace French Union Website

Following the completion of the English website, USW requested a separate French version with its own dedicated URL. As a native French speaker, I translated the content specifically for a French Canadian audience and carefully adapted the layout to accommodate language-specific variations, while ensuring visual and structural consistency with the original English site.

The result is a fully independent French Squarespace website that mirrors the clarity and professionalism of the original—offering an accessible and engaging experience for a broader audience across both languages.
